Reduced Sugar, Yoghurt and Granola Dessert.

Low Sugar Yogurt and Granola Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey or a low-calorie sweetener
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free granola (We love Generous Granola Bites!)
  • 1/4 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • Mint leaves for garnish 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Yogurt:

    • In a bowl, mix the plain Greek yogurt with vanilla extract and honey or low-calorie sweetener, if using.
  2. Layer the Dessert:

    • In serving glasses or bowls, add a layer of the prepared yogurt.
    • Sprinkle a layer of gluten-free granola on top of the yogurt.
    • Add a layer of mixed berries.
    • Repeat the layers until the glasses or bowls are filled, finishing with a layer of berries and a sprinkle of granola.
  3. Top with Chia Seeds and Cinnamon:

    • Sprinkle chia seeds and a dash of ground cinnamon on top of the final layer for added texture and flavour.
  4. Garnish and Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
    • Serve immediately or refrigerate for a few minutes to let the flavours meld.
